Merry Christmas

It's Beginning To Look A Lot Like Christmas

We can't believe it is already 7 days until Christmas. We just got our tree decorated yesterday. Matt took the kids to the ward Christmas party. Natalie was afraid to sit on Santa's lap so her picture isn't as good as the others. They have been looking forward to Santa coming to town.

Spencer's Birthday

On the sixth of December Spencer became a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. He had second cousins from the Dunyon's, first cousins for the England side, and Grandma Barker to help celebrate the day. We are so excited that he decided the church was true. He got brand new scriptures that he loves. He also got a new white shirt and tie. I can't believe that he is getting so big. Kyle was set apart a teacher that day as well. It was definately a day to celebrate all our blessings. After the baptism and before heading home the kids got to play in the leaves outside the church. They had a lot of fun.

CRAZY HAIR DAY

Today was the crazy hair day at school. The kids all had fun. Thought I'd share the pictures. If you look at the trees behind the kids you will notice that it is still in the 70's here.

HAPPY HALLOWEEN

Happy Halloween to you all. We had a great time. On the Saturday before Halloween we went to a trunk or treat. It was fun. They had soup for dinner and then a haunted house and crafts. The kids loved the haunted house. Dad took them through that. They made foam pumpkins, haunted houses and ghosts with sparkly paint. Then when it got cold enough we went to trunk or treat. It was so nice outside. It was 70's. Mom forgot that it was warmer here and all the kids were sweating with extra clothes under their costumes.
On Halloween we didn't have school because it was a state holiday. "Nevada Day" We had a good time at home and then went trick or treating. We just walked around the neighborhood and the kids came back with a lot of candy. Half way we quit hitting all the houses because Mom and Dad were carrying the pillowcases that were too heavy for the kids. Then we came home and handed out candy ourselves. We had a great time.
Spencer's baseball is over until February. Natalie is playing soccer until the Saturday before Thanksgiving. The weather is starting this week to feel like fall. We were in the high 80's up until this las weekend.

Bethany's birthday

October 12th was Bethany's birthday. She got some
beautiful clothes from Grandma Barker and mom and dad. I can't believe how old she is getting.
She also got a digital camera and Spencer gave her horse necklaces. Mom had to re-hem all of her pants because they were all at least 4 inches too long. We can't believe how fast they are growing.

Bethany took over 70 pictures on her birthday alone. Natalie was a very willing subject.
Natalie had been teaching her mom how to pose "cool" for pictures in the car two days earlier while waiting for the kids after school.
Mom didn't have the hair flipping right.

Bethany and Natalie are best friends. They like to call themselves "twins". I am lucky to have both of them in our family.

For her birthday Bethany wanted to have apple pie. Dad actually was really helpful but forgot we needed pictures before it was cut. We sure love our Dad. He is the best!

Natalie's Birthday

Natalie turned 4 on the 25th. Her birthday actually was all weekend long since we had a baseball game on the day of her birthday. Natalie had a Littlest Pet Shop cake. They are here favorite.

She got a cute new outfit from Grandma Barker. Natalie is looking forward to spending the money from Grandma England. It will probably be more pet shop pets. We had a lot of fun. Here is to another year with our beautiful Natalie Joy.

Soccer and baseball games

Natalie's first soccer game was on Saturday the 20th. She did so good especially since a lot of the boys were so much bigger than her. By the end of the game she was so tired she stopped running after the ball and stopped by the goal and goalie to watch. They don't have their uniforms yet, but they had a great time playing.

Spencer is on the Orioles team. He is getting better every game. They are playing twice a week and they have practice one day a week as well.

It has been fun for Matt and Spence to play catch together.

Luckily the games were early enough that it wasn't over 90 degrees before we were done.

With all this fun what more could you want?

Vacation

We went as a family to see Grandma and Grandpa England in Boston. We had a great time. We went on a whale watching. We got to see 12 different whales. Grandma and Grandpa were sunburned. We went for a duck tour and saw the sites from the road and the water. On Monday we went to the childrens museum. We decided to eat first. As soon as we got our food and sat down the fire alarm went off. Just a few minutes later we were standing in a down pour. We were wet the rest of the day. What a great adventure!!!

While there Lyn got to see her best friend Susan from high school. It was really fun.

Lyn has until December and then she will be done with her BSN.
Natalie has a birthday on the 25th. She will turn 4. She is getting very excited.
School is going good. Spencer just changed teachers so he is now in Mrs. G's class.

It is finally cooling down to the low 90's here in Las Vegas and feels much better.
